PHOENIX CWP WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EDLINGTON HILLTOP CENTRE

Michelle O’Rourke, Placement and Monitoring Officer on CWP, has been working closely with Edlington Hilltop Centre and said “The Edlington Hilltop Centre helps to provide real opportunities for people of all walks of life.  The Centre is able to provide a huge range of roles for jobseekers that are looking to up-skill, change career direction or simply need the chance to build their confidence and aspirations for the future world of work.  We highly recommend the team at the Edlington Hilltop Centre.”  We have recently been added as a partner to their website promoting Phoenix and CWP.

We recently received an e-mail from Rob Reid, at Edlington Hilltop Community Centre, as follows:

“May I introduce myself as the Community Officer here at the Edlington Hilltop Centre and Sir Thomas Wharton Community College.  Within my role I am also responsible for the day to day management of the Edlington Hilltop Centre and for the partnerships that supports the delivery of shared services, including our partnership with Phoenix Enterprises in Doncaster.

On Tuesday myself and Leigh Calladine attended an IT Services event at Doncaster Job Centre Plus and I wanted to take a moment to feedback to you, the fantastic feedback we received.

All of the staff and work coaches at the Job Centre attended the sessions in groups over a 2 hour period and I have to say that the majority of them knew of the Hilltop Centre through their claimants, who had either been with Phoenix or are currently with Phoenix.  The feedback was excellent in terms of the service we both provide and the outcomes we were achieving.  They were also saying that claimants could not speak highly enough of both of our organisations when they were visiting to sign on.

As you can imagine this was an absolute pleasure to hear, albeit very unexpected. Can I pass on my sincere thanks to your team, especially Michelle O’Rourke.  Her approach to partnership working with my team has been outstanding, and with over 30 placements from Phoenix onsite at the Hilltop Centre, this has not only been critical to the success of our Charity but essential to the smooth transitions for the people accessing this experience.

I know that it is not very often that people take the time to pass on compliments or success stories, but I would be very grateful if you could pass on our heartfelt thanks to your team on the ground in Doncaster, especially Michelle.

We look forward to working with Phoenix Enterprises into the future and maybe the possibility of joint collaborations/bids to sustain the work we both do within the community.

Kind Regards

Rob”
